So, was I the last one to know about New York's High Line Park? If not, let me fill you in. The City of New York along with an organization dubbed Friends of the High Line, have kicked off a $170 million project converting an abandoned elevated freight line that stretches twenty-two blocks from Gansevoort Street to 20th Street, along the cities West Side.
Today's NEW YORK TIMES featured newly released photos and they are incredible. I'm a huge proponent of urban renewal and turning old structures into public space, so this project makes me a little giddy.
