The AMERICAN IDOL Top 11 took to the stage tonight, singing the songs of The Beatles again (YAWN!). I didn't think there were any truly outstanding performances this evening . . . at least not any that I foresee myself downloading from Itunes any time soon (unlike Brooke White's "Let It Be" from last week). Still, though, there were some good performances. The best of the evening came from rebound cutie David Archuleta whose tender "The Long & Winding Road" was miles above his disastrous performance last week. I am so happy to see him back in form! Go, David!!
Derrick and I were also very pleased with our fave female Brooke White whose "Here Comes The Sun" got no love from the judges, but was the best performance of the night from the girls.
Now for my predictions for the Bottom Three and elimination. Based on tonight's performances alone, the Bottom Three SHOULD be Amanda Overmyer (girl has to learn to mix it up and enunciate), Michael Johns (this was his worst performance to date), and Kristy Lee Cook. Derrick would actually put Ramiele Malubay in the last spot, but I think Ramiele was just a little bit better. However, I think Michael's steaming "Aussieliciousness" will protect him tomorrow . . . I mean, did you see his ass in those black slacks tonight??!! YUM!!! So Ramiele Malubay may find herself in the Bottom Three afterall after two weeks of back to back so-so performances. As for my elimination pick, I am going to go with Kristy Lee Cook again. She obviously does not have the support of the judges, and unless the straight boys vote her through after she flashed some leg tonight, I just don't feel like she's connected with an audience. Sorry Kristy!
Tune in tomorrow to see who stays and who goes! Check back with W&D for our reactions afterwards!
